What All-on-8 is?<\/span><\/span><\/h2>

The All-on-8 dental implant system consists of placing 8 dental implants per dental arch, functioning as &quot;anchors&quot; for a fixed and non-removable dental bridge. This system is recommended in cases where the patient has lost more than 80% of their natural teeth.<\/p>\n

These dental implants will support a fixed dental bridge (permanently cemented onto the implants) between 12 and 14 teeth. Before receiving the All-on-8, the patient must have enough bone to support the implants. If there is not enough bone, a bone graft is required.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/section>

    How does the All-on-8 treatment work?<\/span><\/span><\/h2>

    What is the timing of the rehabilitation treatment with full-digital, immediate loading implantology?
    \nThe sequence of appointments involves the following steps:<\/p>\n

      \n
    1. Visit and preliminary screening to assess the applicability of the technique.<\/li>\n
    2. Evaluation of radiographic examinations; taking impressions for the case study, choosing the
      \nprosthesis color and pre &amp; post-operative indications.<\/li>\n
    3. Surgery (under local anesthesia and, for anxious patients, under conscious sedation with an anesthesiologist) with possible dental extractions, implant insertion and taking impressions for the construction of the immediate prosthesis. The session lasts about 3 hours.<\/li>\n
    4. The positioning of bridges or entire dental arches takes place 24-48 hours after surgery. It is a Toronto-type, screw-retained composite, resin prosthesis with a metal alloy substructure. This makes it a reliable, long-term nonpermanent prosthesis that the patient can keep for a few years, with the appropriate corrections to be made as to when appropriate. The patient is instructed on the hygiene and dietary rules to be followed.<\/li>\n
    5. The suture is removed 7-10 days after surgery.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

      Follow-up appointments are established individually for each patient.
      \nAfter 4-6 months, the provisional is re-evaluated to finalize the prosthetic rehabilitation with a simple correction of the artifact.
      \nFrom the eighth month onwards, if the patient so wishes, a new definitive prosthesis will be prepared (titanium-ceramic, titanium-composite, zirconium-ceramic).<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/section>

      How long does it take for All-on-8?<\/span><\/span><\/h2>

      The intervention is minimally invasive and gives immediate results.
